Local 1775 Presents $30,000 to MDA During Telethon

Local 1775 at the 2009 MDA TelethonMarin Professional Firefighters Local 1775 presented a check for $30,000 to the Muscular Dystrophy Association during the 2009 MDA Telethon.  The presentation was aired live in the Bay Area on KTVU/FOX.

 

Local 1775 President ob Briare, Secretary Doug Wriston, and MDA Coordinator Breanna Buchanan presented the check, and vowed that this year's record breaking "Fill The Boot" fundraising would be just the beginning.  In Marin's first organized "Fill The Boot" event, Marin Firefighters raised enough money to be propelled into the top ten California IAFF fundraising Locals for the MDA.
