A South Davis Metro Fire Agency marshal died on Sunday from injuries he sustained during a training exercise on Friday, according to The Deseret News.

Fire Marshal Steve Cox, 55, was participating in the fitness test when he complained of breathing issues and was treated at the scene.

He was transported to Lakeview Hospital and later became unresponsive and was admitted to the ICU.
