Virginia Firefighter Found Dead in Station
Funeral services are being finalized for a veteran Fairfax County, Va. firefighter found dead in his bunk in the station on Saturday morning.
Horace "Chris" Pendergrass, 49, was found in the bunkroom of Station 41 at about 8:30 a.m., according to WJLA.com.
Pendergrass, a 20-plus year veteran with the department, was originally from Chesapeake, Va.
A fire department spokesperson told local media that while nothing appears suspicious, the death remains under investigation.
